Review: A Proper Cuppa Tea

A Proper Cuppa Tea A Proper Cuppa Tea by K.G. MacGregor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A great new read by K.G. MacGregor. Again, she breathes life to characters who show us their flaws and we love them anyway. I was up past the night hours finishing a story that could not be put down. These characters possessed my thoughts until I gave them release. Thank you, K.G.!

Review: The Hidden One

The Hidden One The Hidden One by T.B. Markinson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

T.B. Markinson has done it, again. Ains and her crew are together again and this time in a mock election. Patience is being tested. How much can they take?
The author does a great job of creating a plot that keeps the reader going well past her bedtime. Great characters and storyline. The sex scenes were longer then I would have preferred. I like more left to my imagination. I look forward to the next book.

Review: Justice for All

Justice for All Justice for All by Radclyffe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoy the author's works. The author has built a team who are more like family. I love the psychologist character. A wee more sex than I would prefer. Good series.

Review: Fever in the Dark

Fever in the Dark Fever in the Dark by Ellen Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great book by Ms. Ellen Hart. The focus is a little different than a lot of her books and she does it well. The characters are great and the plot is developed well. I always look forward to reading a Jane Lawless mystery and this one did not disappoint.

Review: The Deep End

The Deep End The Deep End by Ellie Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great story, well written, that kept me reading well past my bedtime. The characters were well developed with the two main women having a yin and yang relationship. Together they try to piece together what has happened to their family. A great "who done it" that keeps you on the edge of your seat through the end.

Review: A Family Woman

A Family Woman A Family Woman by T.B. Markinson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved A Family Woman by T.B. Markinson. This was the next book in the series that I have been enjoying. The characters are great and I love Lizzie, although I think she gets picked upon a bit. I cannot wait to see the next in the series. Lizzie's character is one that I empathize with as my daughter does not get a lot of idioms. Sara and Lizzie do quite well together. I am looking forward to seeing how Lizzie handles teaching.

Review: Confessions from the Heart

Confessions from the Heart Confessions from the Heart by T.B. Markinson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great book. I had read the previous books in this series and it was good to see how it all began. Character development was awesome. Of course, Cori’s Mother and Aunt are always great for laughs. I love the line where Kat keeps Cori’s clothes to keep her from running. The philosophical debates between characters help to deepen understanding. Kat’s character is strong yets shows her vulnerabilities with her Art and Family.
I highly recommend this book and the others in the series. Get to know Kat and Cori.

GCLS 2018 Conference

The GCLS 2018 Conference is in Las Vegas, July 4-8. The event brings together readers, fans, writers, editors, and publishers to celebrate the best in lesbian literature. I will be there. For those of you unfamiliar with the Golden Crown Literary Society, it's a great way to meet others interested in lesbian literature. Every year, the conference rotates. The con was in Portland, OR in 2014, New Orleans in 2015, Washington DC in 2016, and Chicago in 2017. The speakers and writing seminars are outstanding. GCLS info is at http://www.goldencrown.org/

I look forward to seeing and meeting many of the authors that have given me so much reading pleasure and made an impact on my life.

Review: Transformed: San Francisco

Transformed: San Francisco Transformed: San Francisco by Suzanne Falter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An entertaining book that kept me hooked. I look forward to reading the next in the series. Exciting thriller, mystery, that had a shadow of Amistad Maupin. Characters were fun to follow and I could picture the area in SF the author took pains in researching to describe.
